The Finishing Touches

July 12, 2011

The interior is finally beginning to take shape.  A base coat of paint has been applied, the cabinets are installed and the trim work has been started.  Outside the scratch coat of the stucco has been applied and some of the stone work has been completed.  Our staircase was also installed this week.

The granite has been installed and they have started staining all the woodwork and trim.  The concrete has been poured in the dog run area.  The basement floor has now been fully installed.  No photos of the granite yet because the cabinets are currently covered to protect them from the stain being sprayed on the woodwork.

The stone on the staircase is being installed as well as most of the tile work.  The final painting is taking place.  Most of the mechanical work is completed and the garage floor has been poured.  The same stone that is on the stairs will be put on the fireplace as well.  Our possession date has been set for August 9th.

August 3, 2011

Things are really starting to come together now.  Almost all of the tile work is done, the main flooring is done, and the carpet is about to go in.  Crown molding has been installed in the kitchen, the rock on the staircase is complete and lighting is finally going in.  Most of the baseboards are complete and some of our plumbing is installed.  There's only a few more days until possession.  A few things will be completed after possession such as final stucco, fence, and driveway.
